2016 Drought perspective and insight from the National Weather Service. Come hear Alan Dunham from the NOAA’s National Weather Service Forecast Office in Taunton talk about this year’s drought, how it compares to previous droughts and what we might expect in the future. Traditionally we have considered New England to be ‘water rich’ – until now. Alan is a Plymouth County native and has been in the weather field for 43 years. As a member of the Massachusetts Drought Task Force he is well aware of the issue and can bring insight into the causes of the drought and how the Drought Task Force works.
