Position open for a Water Systems Operator/Equipment Operator. Requirements:
Massachusetts Drinking Water Grade 1 Distribution and Grade 1 Treatment
licenses. Mass. Driver’s License and Hoister’s License. High school diploma
or equivalent. Math and writing skills and diagram work. Diverse position
ranging from excavation and main installation to treatment plant operation
and maintenance, to customer service work. Must be available for overtime
work, emergency call-outs and weekly on-call rotation. Must obtain MA Water
Operator’s Grade 2D or 2T within 24 months. Full-time, 40 hours/week.
Pay range commensurate with experience and licenses: Steps 1-8 $17.95

The Oak Bluffs Water District
is seeking a Water System Working Foreman with a minimum Grade 2
Distribution License and a Grade 2 Treatment License. The successful
candidate must also demonstrate the ability to obtain a Grade 3 Distribution
License within 24 months. The position is responsible for the planning,
coordination and implementation of all in-house construction projects,
including hands-on work as well as supervision of construction employees.
Requirements:
Massachusetts Grade 2 Distribution License and Grade 2 Treatment License,
high school education or equivalent, manual and mechanical abilities. Math,
writing, and diagram skills essential. Minimum of five (5) years experience
in a supervisory capacity. Must have the ability to create and maintain the
“teamwork” concept. Must be available for overtime work, emergency
work and on-call duty. Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
Must submit to CORI check. Full time, 40 hours/week. Pay range commensurate
with experience and licenses: $24.42/hr to $30.03/hr Benefits: competitive
