NRWA and AWWA Send Statement to EPA Urging the Agency NOT to Allow Water Utilities To Be Exposed to Superfund Liability for PFAS That Pass Through Their Utilities

Listing of PFAS compounds as hazardous substances under the Superfund program (CERCLA) would create a mandate for cleanup on US goverment-controlled properties. While groundwater cleanup is always a good thing, without carefully written regulations, water suppliers could also potentially take on liability.
