All Massachusetts Certified Drinking Water Operators need the required continuing education credits to renew their license(s). Every certified operator must obtain between 5 and 20 training contact hours (TCH) every two years depending on the licenses grade and all licenses expire December 31st of odd years.

Chemical feed equipment performance and optimization
Danny Smith -Ti-Sales
Jeff Harrod – Schneider
Chemical dosing for flocculation and coagulation in water treatment is highly dependent on the variability of environmental conditions that affect influent water quality. That’s why studying past performance alongside “what-if” scenarios can be the key to running operations smoothly. Overdosing is not only wasteful but could have long-term negative impacts on the downstream processes while underdosing is inefficient if the quality of the water doesn’t meet the required specifications. The goal of this session is to explain how artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms can be used to provide more accurate recommendations for dosing rates based on past performance while simulation methods can help you run what-if scenarios to understand how the system will react to entirely new conditions, such as testing new chemical compounds or different dosing rates that don’t exist in the historical data – and the power of combining those two approaches.
