Mechanic
Job Description:
The Town of Medfield, MA is seeking applicants for the position of Mechanic. The position works under the direction of the Highway Supervisor, Highway Crew Chief and the Lead Mechanic, and performs skilled maintenance and repair work on all standard and specialized town equipment and vehicles. This position also performs skilled manual work in operating heavy equipment for construction, maintenance and repair projects. A valid Massachusetts Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) with Air Brakes endorsement, and a 2A Hoisting License are desirable (if applicant does not possess licenses, they are required to obtain them within 1 year of hire). High School Diploma, Three to five (3- 5) years of related work experience as a mechanic (with experience in the repair and maintenance of both light and heavy motorized equipment); or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
