Water Plant Operator

Town of Falmouth is looking for a Water Plant Operator to join our team of skilled and motivated Operators. The Town recently placed into service a new state of the art 8 MGD DAF/Ozone/Filtration surface water plant and we have an immediate opening for a Water Plant Operator who currently holds or has the ability to obtain a Grade T-3 Massachusetts Water Operator’s License. Duties include, performs responsible and complex duties requiring independent judgment in operating and maintain equipment and facilities. Ensures all facilities operate in compliance with all federal and state regulatory requirements. Prepares operational and regulatory reports as required. Monitors system operation through computerized SCADA system and reviews data. Trouble shoots or repairs equipment as necessary. Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of water supply, treatment and distribution system operation. At least 4 yrs. experience in water/wastewater operations; 1 yr. of which is in water treatment plant operations. Position is subject to call-back; serves on standby or works weekends/holidays as required. Wage: $25.32 – $32.27/hr. Effective July, 2022, the salary range for this position will be $29.95 – $38.18/hr.; benefits apply. Valid Class C Commercial Driver’s license.
