Water Superintendent
The Onset Fire District, Board of Water Commissioners seeks a Water Superintendent to supervise, lead and coordinate the daily operations of the Onset Water Department (and to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines. The successful candidate will report to a three member Board of Water Commissioners and be responsible for the operations and administration of the supply, treatment and distribution of a water system that currently includes five pumping stations, and 41 miles of water mains serving 3,200 customers. Applicants should have at least five years progressive responsibility in water works experience, at least two years in a supervisory position with public contact and a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent
combination of experience and education. Current Massachusetts Water System Class 1T/2D licenses required.
Work hours Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. 4 p.m., with occasional evening and weekend hours.
