The Town of Medfield, MA is seeking applicants for the position of Water Operator. The position works under the direction of the Water Supervisor and Water Crew Chief, and performs all necessary work in order to maintain, inspect and repair water and wastewater systems within the Town of Medfield. This role ensures organizational efficiency in the application of prescribed policies, procedures, and methods. A valid Massachusetts Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) with Air Brakes endorsement, 2A Hoisting License and Massachusetts 2T/2D Water License are desirable (if applicant does not possess licenses, they are required to obtain them within 1 year of hire). High School Diploma, 3+ years of experience in water, wastewater or construction industry, preferably in the public sector working with local government, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
